Our Stories / Premanarayan Kori

Skills Overcame Illiteracy

Premanarayan Kori, hailing from Khargapur, Tikamgarh, faced economic struggles, juggling various jobs - sometimes sewing, sometimes labor, and at times working in a bidi (cigarette) factory- due to limited employment opportunities. At 50, burdened with family responsibilities, he sought a new path.

Knocking on Khare Energy's door at the 2-megawatt plant in Indira Solar Farm, Khargapur, was a risk. However, the company's commitment to local employment and skill development provided him with a chance.

Despite his age, Premanarayan underwent rigorous training across Raipur, Chhindwara, Indore, and Tikamgarh. Now adept in advanced solar technology like "Agro-voltaic," he finds solace in providing his children with education and stability while being close to family.

For Premanarayan, Khare Energy's support brought not just economic stability but also mental contentment, which is invaluable beyond measure."
